A common perception is that you need certain letters after your name, expensive lab equipment, or a particular kind of aptitude to do good science. We would humbly disagree. A significant proportion of our ASUC funding will be devoted to supporting innovative and rigorous research projects by Berkeley students. Projects do not have to directly pertain to psychedelics—any investigation into altered states and the nature of consciousness will be eligible for a grant and will be evaluated on a rolling basis by members of the board.
